Build hard things with great engineers
We are not actively recruiting right now, but we are always interested in meeting exceptional engineers who want to work on the kind of infrastructure problems most companies never get to solve.
Introduce yourselfWhat it's like to be here
Engineers, first
Every engagement is led by senior engineers. No account managers, no hand-offs. You work directly with the people who will do the work.
Fully remote
We are a remote-first team. Work from wherever you do your best thinking. We care about output, not office attendance.
Hard problems
Our work spans Fortune 500 infrastructure transformations, ML platforms, and the kind of reliability engineering that most engineers never get to touch.
Async by default
We minimize meetings, maximize deep work, and document decisions. Your time is respected and protected.
Sustainable pace
Consulting does not have to mean burnout. We scope engagements honestly, staff them properly, and protect our engineers' time.
Equity & ownership
Senior contributors can earn equity in the firm. We are building something long-term and want people who want to build it with us.
Where we work
We hire experienced engineers with deep expertise in at least one of these areas. Being strong in adjacent areas is a plus: we are a small team, so range matters.

SeniorWhat we look for
Deep technical credibility. Our clients trust us because they can see we know what we are doing. We look for engineers who have done the thing, not just read about it: people who have operated production systems under load, debugged failures at 3am, and shipped infrastructure that lasted beyond the engagement.
Strong written communication. We are remote and async. The ability to write clearly, in design docs, in Slack, in code comments, in client updates, is as important as technical skill.
Genuine curiosity. The tools we use will change. The fundamentals of distributed systems, reliability engineering, and automation thinking will not. We want people who care about the why, not just the how.
Comfort with ambiguity. Client engagements rarely have perfect specs. We look for engineers who can take a problem statement, explore the solution space, and drive toward a recommendation, even when the path is not fully clear.
Interested? Say hello.
We do not do formal applications. If you are interested in working together, send us a short email: who you are, what you have built, and what kinds of problems you want to be working on. No resume required, though we will not refuse one.
